The Family Friendly Event Invites Kids to “Be An Artist For A Day”

WHAT: LakeSide Market is hosting a Summer Festival on Saturday, July 31, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is FREE and open to the public. The fun afternoon will feature interactive art exhibits, a ‘Taste of Lakeside’ food tent with delicious samples from LakeSide Market restaurants, and a variety of live musical performances throughout the day.

Talented performers from the event beneficiary and popular Dallas- based art nonprofit, ArtLoveMagic will keep kids and parents entertained with over twenty fun activities from interactive airbrush painting to musical performances with kids and real-time art demonstrations.

Performers include:

• Eddie Walker, an interactive airbrush artist
• Hallie Garcia, the ultimate face painter
• Matt Barron, a blues guitarist
• David Rodriguez, a performance painter who creates scenes on oversized canvases
• the Zach Scott Pohl Band, a four piece southern rock band
• Kelly Nygren, a musician who leads a “Weapons of Mass Percussion” performance with kids
• Joshua Boulet, an artist who paints people in real time
• Joe Skillz, a “graff” artist who creates inventive graffiti exhibits
