From Burlesque to Breakdancing – girlShow 2011

One of the highest energy points of girlShow 2011 was a very cool collaboration of stage between two very different dance troups. Brulesque Troupe Ruby Review and the breakdancing girls of Femme Fatale did a combo dance number that blew us away. Here are some photos that attendee Scott Carson Ausburn. You can click on the pictures to see them larger.

The dancers already had drawn the biggest crowd of the night to the main stage, when the act went into overdrive. The audience wasn’t expecting what happened next. From off stage came Shamrock and the B girls of Femme Fatale, dancing to the tracks of Dj Night Nurse. Their raw energy and sharp moves thrilled the crowd. Brilliant! The crowd went crazy for it. Honestly, it was one of the coolest things we’ve ever had on an artlovemagic stage. The energy in the room was wonderful. Congrats to these amazing dancers. We have to do this again sometime.

PS- photographer Scott Carson Ausburn shot the rest of the night as well. All of his gorgeous shots can be seen at http://musicinpictures.shutterfly.com/43158
